Why is that my fotos always lack light ? or why do I end up shooting on cloudy days ? Well, shooting at night can be forgiven, as singapore's Central Business District (CBD) looks better when the lights come down. Hmm.....happens when you belong to the Dark Side-Nikon. Oh yeah, Nikon has finally brought out its first Full Frame D3..that must be a beast....ahem...I am pretty sure I am not going to even touch that piece of machine for the next few years...but it kind of evens out the battle field with cannon. I am sure the Pro's dont give a shoot about the Nikon-Cannon war, its the half-baked amateurs like me who pick up arguments with quarter-baked cannon guys over which system is better. Whatever the truth may be, every Nikonian agrees that cannon has better electronics in their bodies and a wider lens range and every cannonian sub-conciously wishes for a nikon system. Theres no better example to prove that 'The grass is greener on the other side- in this case its definitely taller'

Shooting on a cloudy day is such a sore-job...man....so much so that the available light makes off-white and orange look similar. Thankfully photoshop helps in salvaging many such fotos. Just playing around with the hue/saturation and curves generates some "not-so-bad" effects. This would certainly upset the purists , who claim it to be some sort of pseudo-artistc digital stunt....I wouldnt disagree with them...I wont agree with them either.
"...the wait ...." Anand suggeted that I work with the frame colour...and I fully appreciate his comments for more than one reasons. One, my colour sense or rather the lack of it and his far superior sense for the same. I just dont seem to work out the perfect colour...everything looks equaly good or equally bad!!! Anyways...Just that the correction took quite some time. That would prove how well-visited my blogspace is. Who cares, when I couldnt any less. But the fact is that how much ever I try to change myself in processing my fotos, i never manage to do. I wish I could drive myself to process all those RAW files and put them on net for the experts to comment....hmm....i shall try.
